The Lyrebird is located at the bottom floor of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and is perfect for a pre-performance meal or lunch. Bookings are essential. Start your evening with smoked salmon with fennel and avocado cream; a smoked mushroom tart with creme fraiche and rocket; or diced king prawns tossed in dill-scented mayonnaise served with buttered cucumbers and toasted Italian bread. For the main course: Atlantic salmon over steamed wombok and with mint, coriander and toasted cashew garnish; or soft-shelled crab served with nam jim sauce.
