Ma Foosies. The Cafe Restaurant is located on Bridge St. in a lovely historic building, The decor is in appropriate rustic style, with a number of historical photos around the walls. Along with a large log burner, which creates a very cosy yesteryear ambience.. The word 'Foosie' was used in Ireland by Mrs Duffy Senior to describe all sweets and treats she found irresistible. The selection on offer of "Ma's Foosies", is small but inviting. Included are steak, seafood, chicken and fettuccine, followed by irresistible deserts. We started with a generous serve of creamy delicious pumpkin soup. Followed by two large Scotch Fillet mignon steaks, with a bacon & creamy mushroom gravy, served on a bed of sweet potato mash, accompanied by a side order of well prepared greens.
