Maaroom Caravan Park

Just on my last night here and went to order food from the store. Dont bother it is disgusting. The owner Chris was a bit drunk and Debbie was as sour as can be. We couldnt eat the food. Such a sham5 for thos place.

We are grey nomads and after being stuck for a powered site during the Sept. School Holidays checked into this Park. The cost per week was very cheap which was surprising because it was a decent looking park, large trees, lots of shade, swimming pool, free wi-fi and meticulously maintained grounds. You even have a tv connection on your site.
What was really surprising was the Park was almost empty, I cannot work that one out. School holidays, beachside Park with a river and boatramp only 400 metres away.
Anyway we checked in, found management to be nice and very helpful and set up on our site. They are mostly drive through sites so that was easy to do.
Kangaroos roam the town and C/Park and do their best to pretend you are not there. They are not worried about you in the slightest. Birdlife is plentiful.
The amenities blocks are small but adequate.
One thing you need to be aware of is the biting insects. Bring plenty of protection.

Great place to stay, clean and great spot. But the day we were leaving it all turned nasty. We were taking out time packing to leave. A couple of people went to use the toilet before we left and were told we were supposed to be out of there an hour ago so they couldnt use the facilities. We wanted to book again for in a couple of weeks time and they said we werent welcomed back. No reasons given. So 3 families wont be back. All we can think of is they didnt appreciate us coming to crab in their area. We were clean and in bed early and no noise at all. So go figure.
