Shopping Centres
Macquarie Centre
Cnr Herring & Waterloo Rds
North Ryde, NSW, 2113
One of the most pram friendly shopping centers with lots of play areas for kids and pretty much every store you can think of! Big W, Target, Myer, DJs, Cha time and Easy way! Lots of places to eat including cafes and Asian restaurants such as papa rich and district 21!
3 hours free parking too!
The most pram friendly shopping centre that I know of in Sydney, the whole centre is accessible for prawns and wheel chairs without having to wait for a lift.
There are also great play areas for the kids outside target on the ground level or at the very top of The centre in the 'Loft'.
There are padding shapes that the kids can use to build little fortresses, to climb, rolls and just have fun with.
It's a great way of tiring kids out while enjoying air conditioned comfort. Really happy my friend introduced this place to me and I have been bringing my toddler here just because of the play area! She naps REALLY well afterwards! Grab a coffee and a snack and then enjoy some peace as your little ones burn off energy!
Just watch out for older kids who may get a little too rough due to over excitement.
What a transformation! The Macquarie Centre has really changed since I was last there, the new developments have turned what was a pretty boring suburban shopping dead end into something worth driving half an hour to get to. And on Sunday morning it seemed that many others felt the same way. Lots of shiny new shops to explore and plenty of interesting food places around every corner to recover strength to shop on. We two gals covered everything on our lists plus a bit more and went home tired but happy - shopping therapy at its best!
