After finding out that this place was opening up in Annandale I was excited to say the least. I love my pizza and after having Crust for years on end I was looking forward to trying something new. The 1st and only time I\'ve gone to Made In Italy was on their 2nd day of business. After ordering I was told that my pizza would be an hour, thinking that this was a mistake and they meant delivery not pick up for some reason I clarified that this was for pick up and the staff answered \"that is what you said\". This rudeness didn\'t really phase me as I don\'t pay for a conversation I pay for the food and I happily waited the hour. After 40 minutes I asked if my order was almost ready. It was not. I waited another 20 minutes and still nothing. Asking the staff again they said we'll check for you. Suddenly my order was ready. The best pizza I have ever tasted, it was worth the carbs. I ordered the Calabrese pizza without the anchovies and extra garlic, we ate inside and the pizza was piping hot, the flavor of the toppings, the crispy crust was enough to convince me to have more than two slices. Thank you for a wonderful experience
Thought I'd try this out since it's new to the area and I like to support my local businesses. What a mistake!
I ordered a Gluten Free pizza which was $20. That's already more expensive than all the other pizzerias are charging for a GF pizza but i thought I'd give it a go anyway? It was the tiniest and thinnest pizza I've ever seen. I like my pizzas thin and with little topping but this was ridiculous. To top it off, when i went and picked it up, the staff told me it was $25. I explained that the menu that had been delivered to my letterbox said $20. They showed me one of their own menus ( a different one) that said $25. They stuck their hand out and waited for the $25. Turned their head to avoid eye contact and took my money! The pizza tasted like cardboard and was dripping with oil-don't know how that was possible when the toppings were so sparse. Save yourself from a bad experience, bad food and high prices and go elsewhere!
