Magnum Pleasure Pop-Up Store (Closed)

It's BACK! And it is just like the last time it graced our shores, long lines, but great ingredients and theatrics! Even though the weather is still cool, there are lines stretching across Westfield as shoppers seek to experience the fancy magnum offerings.

I'm a big nay-sayer when it comes to lining up for things. But since I was with friends, and we had nothing better to do, I happily obliged to partake is some magnum marketing indulgence. The line was long... quite long... 45 minutes long and when I arrived at the front of the queue I realised why. The objective of this pop up store is clearly a promotional campaign leveraging the entertainment factor. Young, trendy staff take their time serving you while putting on a show. The first checkpoint you order from a menu, choose your chocolate base, then your 3 chosen toppings (I chose rose petals, rose praline and dried strawberries) and then your 'swirl' chocolate flavour. All these choices! You then watch as the next checkpoint adds you ingredients into a cocktail shaker and theatrically mixes the dry ingredients. Okay so I bought into the hype and stood in a long line on a Saturday afternoon with some girlfriends for a $7 ice cream. I would normally scoff at such a thing, but somehow came to the conclusion that the wait was worth it.
