Customer service was good - the service was polite although no water available for our dog which is a 'no' for us!
Coffee was not as good as we had been led to believe! We drink soy and expected Bon soy to be used for a truly excellent soy coffee - therefore taste was a disappointment!
Not much choice in cakes and no gluten free - so again a disappointment!
We had hot cross buns which were just like any other shop purchased bun but the apricot jam was beautiful!
As much as we really like to support small business and local produce - we would not go back - sorry!
Sorry you didn't enjoy your visit as much as you'd hoped.
We do provide water for dogs so I'm unsure why that didn't happen if you'd asked. We don't use Bon soy at mahalia coffee, nor do we recommend it since the radiation issues in Japan. We found that Vtasoy "Café for Baristas" was complimentary to most of our blends and origins and being Australian Made and non GM it ticks more ethical boxes for us. Having said that its always such a personal preference once you have found the perfect flavour with non dairy alternatives. A selection of Gluten free options in our cake and slice range are now available. Thank you for your feedback.
Mahalias Cafe in Robe, is truly a coffee connoisseur destination. On arrival the aroma of fresh roasted coffee greets you. Inside the door on the wall, are a number of Silver and Bronze awards for coffee roasting, awarded at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show. The cafe is modern with an all white decor, with fabulous flashes of colour created by the beautiful porcelain cups and pots displayed every where plus, coffee making machines and paraphernalia, coffee, chocolates, and other drinking accompaniment. Outside there is a delightful courtyard, with bright coloured table and chairs, completely lined with tree,s and plants for sale. The roasting room is immaculate, the roaster is a fabulous blue state of the art "Diedrich". We tasted, single origin Al Salvador, "La Majada" full bodied associated to stone fruit, with a grassy coolness, mild acidity, with a lingering after taste of sweet hard ...read more
