Maharaja's Haveli
Been back recently,my Indian workmate says it was popular a while ago but quality went down and less and less people turned up but he hasn't been back for a while until recently where he attended a function he says it's ok
I went and tried there non vege thali I liked it though I didn't expect the butter chicken to have sum "kick" to it
The place is huge inside as if you entered a small shopping centre with some statues and other things to look at
They also have a limited amount of sweets available
Overall I liked it and if you want to go somewhere different this is a good choice
As soon as I enter the large wooden doors of Maharaj’s Haveli, I feel like I have stepped onto the streets of India.
The décor of the restaurant is like village India, with lots of large statues to immerse you into Indian culture. So much thought has gone into detailing the décor here!
The food does not disappoint either – it’s your traditional Indian food with your street-side Indian favourites too.
They have the long Indian kulfi (Indian ice-cream) on a stick, which is very traditional Indian – and it’s so delicious!
My friends and I had the traditional roti with the daal tarka (lentils). 1 daal was enough to be shared between 2, as the portion size was generous.
The price is quite reasonable too.
