Based in Toowoomba, specialist family lawyer and mediator, Richard Mahler, conducts mediations across all of South East Queensland.

Richard has seen first-hand the negative effect of litigation on parents and children as a practising solicitor specialising in Family Law. He is able to use this knowledge and insight to assist parties in reaching a resolution without the financial and emotional costs associated with litigation.

Richard is a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Federal Attorney-Generals Department. This means that he is recognised nationally as a mediator, and can issue Section 60I Certificates as required under the Family Law Act before parties institute court proceedings in respect of childrens matters.

Richard holds a Master of Laws (including a Mediation Course), Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours, a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction, has completed the Practice Management Course with Distinction, and begins a PhD in International Family Law in 2011.

Richard has extensive experience in Mediation work, both as a practicing Solicitor, and as a Mediator.
