Since I was still hungry after eating at a fancy restaurant, there wasn't much to eat around there apart from Lebanese food. But I need something that wouldn't be too heavy for me,thank goodness Mai Viet is open
The interior had some paintings on the wall and colour but it felt bare in there
My vermicelli with roast pork (not grilled pork) and spring rolls were surprisingly better than my expectations. All the ingredients are fresh, they added garlic to the fish sauce and the spring rolls must be home made because I have not eaten a spring roll with this unique taste before,I enjoyed my meal greatly
But it doesn't score higher, just like Me Oi in Strathfield the prices are a psychological barrier to me especially when you eat at Bankstown or Cabramatta for cheaper and you get free tea. Admittedly I don't know if they have free tea here but no cannister was on the table and it wasn't offered to us. It's the main barrier for me to come back
Great little gem in the neighbourhood, welcome the variety on Cleveland St! Delicious, tasty and fresh food in a clean, spacious and inviting setting. Stand out dishes are the Special Vermicelli salad (with sugar cane prawns, spring rolls and roast pork), fried chicken wings and crispy chicken noodle soup. Family friendly with baby chairs and warm and helpful staff. Convenient location not too far from Central station and with a bus stop right outside. We were able to find street parking around the corner on Friday evening. Looking forward to trying the pho, fresh prawn rolls and braised pork dishes next time.
