I know Dad and I have only been attending there for about 10 months out of the 2 years we have resided across the road (practically) and there are several excellent doctors there. The only time we have had major waiting times is on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays only because they don't have appointments on those dates. The doctors are compassionate, caring, competent and great radiography service 5.5 days per week. They have a nurses station open 9am-10pm 7 days. We have never looked back since first attendance when a local lady recommended a specific doctor to us that she goes to see there. Dad finds the pathologists good too but with my veins I don't find pathology all that great but otherwise 100%
I have been in the UK for several weeks and read some of the comments which are derogatory on waiting times especially and all i can say is we are spoilt in the Beenleigh area with the medical centres . Everyone i speak to here waiting time to see a doctor is at least three weeks unless you go direct to a hospital and wait for many hours and i mean many hours . You can get a prescription over the phone as long as you are willing to wait on it being answered . Now i am not talking about a certain area as my visits are wide spread even to relatives in N ireland . My cousin had a private apointment which was also three weeks away . My son in law has waited two months on radium treatment after he was diagnosed with cancer . In the medical centre you can see a doctor in under an hour if you are willing to see any doctor whereas i play the system . My popular doctor can take 3 to 4 hours to see so i ask the lovely young girl at the reception how many patients are ...read more
we are pacience there , and yes sometime there is a waiting time , just because no one is sent home sick , or need an apponmtment ( over a week ) to see a doctor . our doctor is Exeptional , the best doctor we had in a long time , He really cares , and wont just shove you out the door . Yes we had other doctors there , but this one is the best . Thank you to all receptionist , Xray stuff , and especialy to Dr. R. Gandhi
As mentioned elsewere on this reveiw, the doctors are quite hard to understand (mostly appear indian) and appear to be distant from the patient. It does seem like a production line with most patients rushed in and out within minutes.
Waiting times can be up to three (3) hours in my personal experience.
Reception and radiology staff are fine to deal with, but try to get you in to see a 'generic' less popular doctor to try and get the wait time down.
Only doctor that I see at the practice who appears to genuinely care is Dr Hun Lin (my family doctor for twenty (20) plus years) but he retires at the end of September 2016.
