If you've got a couple of hours spare when passing through Maitland, this is a creepy way to spend your time. If you want to see how the inmates passed time, including the infamous Ivan Millatt, then the audio tour is for you. Each area has the numbers you can punch in to hear about what went on in each area. There's haunted tours (if you like that sort of thing) self guided and you can wait for tours...
Hard to imagine the terrors that went on when the sun is out and you're just having a wander at your leisure.
