I am a Malaysian and i am truly dissapointed with this airline. I travel frequently, thus i need the comfort especially on long hauls. Latest dissapointment was when my request for upgrade was successful then was downgraded, because priority were given to other full paying passengers.... fine, i would understand that. Then my refund request was not responded, it has now been 2 weeks. Standard dissappointment on the food quality was too frequent that i just do not have the energy to complaint. Please buck-up or wrap-up, whats the best business decision, just do it.
MA is offering flights between Australia and Kota Kinabalu. If you are looking to do this via Perth, either flying there, or coming back, be aware that they have suddenly changed these once-weekly flights from Sunday to Saturday (and were still selling the Sunday flights after the schedule change). I bought a ticket after booking a holiday in KK, only to get an email from MA saying my return flight is now going to be 24hrs earlier (when I am still in Borneo, on the holiday) and they will now dump me in Perth a day earlier with no connecting flight to the East Coast.
2 weeks of phone calls, emails to resolve the issue by putting me on other flights out of KK via KL have led to nothing......only promises and apologies.
Won't be flying with them again!
We are a family of 4 with a severely disabled son and always flown with Malaysian Airlines from Adelaide to Colombo. We have found it is the best airline that carters for travellers needs as my son has extra needs and equipment to carry when on traveling. Malaysian airlines have always allowed and approved us to get extra baggage allowance so to can carry the necessary things for our travel. Also, they are very friendly and accommodating. We would not hesitate to recommend anyone to use Malaysian airlines for their traveling.
