For anyone that ever thinks Jeep, in any way whatsoever, don't! We have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel, and it is a hunk of junk. Worse, Jeep servicing is abysmal and a ripoff. Anyhow, engine light came on, and Jeep informed us it would cost $140 to hook up their gear to run a diagnostic. I thought I would get a code reader and software for just over $100. Did a run, and a variety of codes came up, including injector 2 timing off. Told Jeep, they tried to insist that I get the code read when car went in for repairs (Mandurah Jeep). I said no, injector 2 needs to be fixed.They agreed, booked the car in. Had the car booked in, and when went in, insisted on the reading again, despite what I said. Picked the vehicle up, the code reader that they had picked up EXACTLY what I had told them, and was charged $142 for the privilege, and was told they would have to order parts, and it would cost $4700 to fix. I've owned a Jeep commander for 9 yrs, having pruchased and serviced my vehihcle throguh the wanneroo jeep dealership, and later at the vicotoria park dealer before i move to mandurah recently.
Having moved 4 months ago and then receiving a recall letter recently, i headed into the mandurah jeep service centre. I was appaulled at the total lack of service and the rudeness of staff, showing zero knowledge of what was going to happen with my vehicle during the recall. ...read more
