As a local I've been to Manly Deck on numerous occasions and always thoroughly enjoyed myself. They frequently have great entertainment and while the food isn't super fancy it's good fare. My partner and I are partial to the weekend buffet breakfast which at $12 is incredible value so we make sure to get make the journey down the road every couple of weeks
My partner & i have just eaten here for dinner tonight. And have eaten here twice before on other occasions, 1st time was for breakfast, 2nd time for lunch and tonight being our 3rd visit here and to be honest have been disappointed all 3 times all for different reasons. The food isn't great, over priced for the quality & quantity and presentation is also not that eye catching, considering what meets the eye says alot. The ambience isn't very great either, the seating plan could be arranged to be more welcoming it was quite cold in the main dining area with all the french doors wide open. The staff were ok and friendly enough without making an ever lasting empression. Overall experience very ordinary. Not sure if i will return prehaps not to eat. Maybe a better meeting place for drinks.
I have been to the manly deck many times with my family and on my own and when I go with the family I go early so around 5.30 or 6pm on Saturdays or Fridays and i find the dinner very good value and they do not mind the children in there and always friendly and good service of course if you go later on this might not be the case. The meals are cheap and very generous don,t expect 5 start meals as you are not paying 5 start prices. I have also been there later just drinking with friends again great atmosphere but can get busy to get served later on.
Went to Manly Deck with a Living Social deal voucher for 2, staff were freindly, however meal was supposed to be worth $88, we paid $29, would have been very dissapointed if we had Paid the full price for a very meadiocre meal, I had T bone steak poor quality and very small, salad and chips were good, my partner had pan fried coral trout, again mediocre and very small greens and chips were good, wouldnt recomend this restaurent if for value or quality
