Now located upstairs from the Steyne, the food is still worth going for but not so much the location. We were lucky to secure a table in the private room to eat and watch the football grandfinal in whilst everyone bustled in the bar below. The banquet had ample food and as always tasty as ever!
Really gone down hill since left wharf. Have eaten many times and been ver accommodating . Turned up at 10.50 on a Sundaywanting a quick yum Cha with the family answer a very flat no from the non accommodating front desk staff. The restaurant was empty yet staff is prepared to turn good business away glad staff's not running my business to be fair one of the staffs wanted to give us menus but staff said no booked . If they got themselves organized they would have got us in and out as loads of people standing around doing nothing wtf. To add insult they charge a surcharge for this service on a Sunday not from me anymore
If you like eating in a picturesque setting, with great service and a wide variety of delicious food, then come to the Manly Phoenix. Speciality is Yum Cha which is on every day. Especially try the beautiful steamed dumplings. Wine list is ok and reasonably priced, beer is cold. Waiters are very attentive. Book if party of 4 or more - this is a great place for Sunday Yum Cha or to take a visitor from out of town to.
Spent a rainy afternoon in this clean, comfortable restaurant on Manly Wharf. The staff were attentive and the yum cha offered was fresh and delicious. We added salt and pepper prawns from the menu and topped our meal off with some red bean sticky buns. Average price $55.00 per head including a bottle of good red wine from their extensive wine list..
