This place is fantastic, I want to the Manly Beach branch, they teach elsewhere, of course, depends on surf conditions, Lots of attention to safety, and no one made me feel silly for learning at such a late stage in life ! They supply wetsuits and even sunblock. Can't think of anything. Negative to say, it was fantastic.
Malay surf school don't just do lessons in manly, they also teach at other beaches including Summer Bay! Summer Bay meaning Palm Beach that is... The teachers are friendly, professional and fun. They go through the basics and are happy to help you catch a wave, wot each try they coach you a bit on improving your technique. Would highly recommend a surf lesson if you ever get the chance and it is fun to do with friends!
Around $70 including board hire, we suit and instructor you head out in groups of around 8 and spend about 2 hours doing laps of the surf. It's is pretty rewarding when you finally get the hang of it!
