Been here several times, food is nice, but service is unacceptable.
The final straw was booking a table for 2, when we got there they sat us down at a small table with 4 chairs. As we were browsing the menu, they plonked 2 strangers down at our table and said "You don't mind sharing, do you!". We immediately got up and walked out.
I have been here several times and always satisfies me when I have a ramen craving. The soup is a little too thick for my tastes and a bit too heavy aswell but it's close to my home and it's good value. Sashimi and sushi is pleasant but Japanese restaurants in the city are much better. Overall, it's a nice place when feeling too lazy to
cook.
Located just behind Hurstville train station across from the bus stops, from its unassuming shop front you could be forgiven for thinking this was just another cafe, or perhaps a takeaway shop, but this restaurant is far from being either!
Make no mistake, this is a fully-fledged Japanese restaurant and the food is of very good quality and authenticity. The menu is actually quite good and if you can make it here for lunch the lunch specials are excellent.
Although this has only been open for a little while it's already busy in the evenings so it's best to call ahead and book a table. The restaurant itself is newly renovated and the waitstaff are efficient.
A hidden gem of a restaurant: recommended.
