Market City Tavern

I went here with my family last night (25/11/2014) and the restaurant was full to capacity! Very unusual for a Tuesday.
The ambiance was very relaxed and comfortable, very good dining environment.
Despite the fact that they were obviously very busy the staff proved to be very polite and accommodating.
Service was great, food was even better. I would recommend the grilled Spanish mackerel to any fish lovers out there!
I have been hunting for a casual dining venue that offers both value & quality ... I think I've found it.

Would recommend this gem to anyone!

A shocker, took an hour to get Nachos, when the meal arrived the Nachos were burnt all around the outside and you had to look hard to find the chilli sauce and cheese under a huge dollop of cream. Would not go back.

Very delicious food, amazingly friendly staff, great value for money!

First, and last, time there and what a shocker! Food was very average as the chicken was very dry and the chips were cold. I am not a fan of complimentary anything. I will buy a salad or desert if I want one. The clincher for the evening was the wait staff cleared the table while I was still eating. Halfway through and they takes the plate away. Couldn't believe it! They wanted to pick out the napkins and give it back to me. Mentioned my experience to the staff who apologised but I wasn't convinced they really cared.



Probably great for kids if you don't care about the quality or service.

We have had lunch and dinner many times. Now they have the salad bar with ice cream machine the kids love this. My favorite meal is Jack's plate I have this all the time. The service is very friendly and meals were done perfectly. Great atmosphere and will recommend this for families as the price is reasonable and they have daily specials.
