hmmm, for all the sporting stars adourned on the walls that seem to love going to Mark's, you'd think they'd be doing something well. Unfortunately, on my visit, I didnt see it. The service was ho hum & the food was palatable...not really worth a second visit in my opinion, which is BIG for me - ask any of my friends, I'm a "three strikes & you're out" man. Well OK, If they had some very enticing specials I'd be back, but they'd need to be VERY ENTICING - and that says a lot for me!
The service here is awful! Some of the staff members are just down-right rude. They have a "no outside drinks" policy, which I get. But I just took a sip from my own water bottle as I was about to leave and pay for my meal and the staff member comes up to me and rudely says that next time I either buy a drink from the restaurant or wait till I get out of the place. Then they rolls their eyes, passes me my bill and walks away. I'm sorry but there will be no next time! As a paying customer I believe that I deserve at least some sort of common courtesy, which the staff member obviously does not possess. There are more polite ways to let someone know that they are not allowed to do something. I have been in the service industry and I would NEVER talk to my customers that way! No matter how good the food is in a restaurant, if the service is nasty....They don't deserve mine, or anyone else's, patronage.
Right near Melbourne University. You've got to try number 19 (I think on the menu). It's the Tangy chicken pizza. It's a white sauced pizza (ie. no tomato sauce). It's the best pizza ever! (I'm not really a fan of tomato sauce). The sour cream and wedges are quite good too! But I don't recommend the Chicken Parmi. It was.. a limp schiniztel covered in bolognase sauce.
