Marrickville Medical Centre

I come to this clinic for almost 10 years to see a doctor that is very competent and professional. Today, I had to come for a simple prescription as mine had finished and I had the worst experience with the receptionists that I ever had in a medical facility. The were extremely rude, cold and using sarcasm to say that if I want to wait it will be one hour or I can walk away. The other one said to me that she is not particularly polite when I asked about their rudeness. I’m not here to get anything for free. I’m here because all of my medical history is here and I needed my prescription. I will have to say goodbye to my doctor as I don’t intent to come back here to be treated as rubbish when I’m sick and in a vulnerable position. It looks like that most of the admin staff are family or friends so, why bother to reach out to them. There is a big sign that they don’t tolerate abuse and they are the one abusing people there.

I tried to contact this medical centre and the standard of the receptionists at this place is beyond incompetent. They are utterly useless. Firstly their grasp of English is very poor and their attempts at English was unintelligible. The first girl I spoke to couldn't understand English and her supervisor put me straight on hold. I contacted another nearby doctor and visited him.
Save yourself the time and trouble dont bother with this medical centre.

I have been to this Centre in the past and it was a disgrace. But after going there recently in an emergency I found the service very good and have been back a couple of times since. Younger, friendly,competent doctors, not the old deadbeats who used to work there. I think they've lifted their game.

The reception staff at this Medical Centre was so rude and cold. Never have I encountered such hostility for no reason and it's because of this, that I will not return to this medical centre. I also had to wait for 2 hours before being seen. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

I have been a patient at Marrickville Medical Centre for 9 years. As a walk in patient I found the care for me and my partner professional, friendly and efficient. All of the Doctors have helped us enormously. Now, by virtue of time and circumstance, we are seen by the same Doctor each time; some of the Doctors who have been at this Practice for many years cannot take any new patients and this has determined who we see. Nevertheless, the ongoing care is the same high standard, no matter who one consults.
