Maruwa

Take-away heaven! Maruwa serves delicious Japanese meals at a reasonably low price. The Japanese curry and gyudon are my personal favourites, and when I'm in the area I make a bee-line to this shop.

Fantastic hidden gem in the suburbs of Chermside. The staff are fantastic and do everything to make your time here comfortable. The food was amazing too. I can't say enough about this place. If you like Japanese fair this is a must visit

This is a little japanese restaurant tucked into a side street of Chermside, a few blocks from the big shopping centre. Easily missed, but it should not be! Japanese food made by japanese (I think it is somehow associated with Genki-mart?). Prices are extremely reasonable and the service is outstanding. In particular their gyoza, curry & gyudon are delicious! An added bonus, they sell japanese snacks, drinks and mini-meals at the counter (including zip-frozen gyudon to make at home!) to save you a trip to the asian grocery store.

This was our best restaurant find during our year living on the north side of Brisbane. Highly recommended!
