Maruya Japanese Restaurant

We have been eating at this restaurant for close on 2 years now and everyone that we have taken there says the food is the best they have tasted.
My Son gets the seafood soup (sorry, don't remember the real name) and he and his Korean Wife frequent many Japanese and Korean Restaurants.....He says it's the best he's ever tasted...Nothing in Brisbane even comes close.
It can get a bit noisy sometimes, you may have to park a street away and the chairs are not real comfy, but it's worth it.

I feel compelled to warn others about this restaurant after reading rave reviews and trying it myself. Food was awful, in fact, I have never tasted something which could possibly pass as restaurant quality. Very overpriced for what was served. Staff were disinterested and the kitchen staff had a bad attitude. Stay away from this place!

So good ! I was going there almost every day for lunch. The Chef knew my taste preferences and If I was running late they will always take my order over the phone and its gonna be fresh ready for me when I come. I would recommend this place as one of the best Sushi Places you can go on The Gold Coast !

This place supplies the freshest sushi and sashimi in Southport. Ask the Korean chef not to add his trademark sauces or onion toppings if you want the dish plain.

I have been to this place 2 times now and think the food is awesome... really made me enthusiastic about Japanese food again..
