Served by Nathan who was very rude and unfriendly. I went to return some shoes that I had only bought 3 weeks ago, as they were faulty and he abruptly said that I needed to come back when i wasn't wearing them. I said I just wanted to exchange them for a new pair and he passive aggressively swapped them over. He hardly said a thing. Very poor customer service
Great store. Plenty of room to browse and plenty of comfy seats to sit and try on shoes too. Great selection. Sometimes they can be quite expensive, depending on the brand, but i always know I'm going to get a good quality pair of shoes that fit and are comfortable. Try to shop here when the sales are on, you will score a great bargain.
Everyone's experience of a shoe store is a bit of gamble. It depends mostly on whether or not there's a suitable shoe, at a suitable price, on the day. Mathers stocks a higher-quality range, and in many cases, being a Ladies' nine-and-three-quarters on a stranglingly tight budget, I have left disappointed... but on my latest visit, I hit the jackpot. I could spend paragraphs expounding the virtues of my new Hush Puppies which I netted for less than the Hush Puppies store price, but more relevant to future shoppers is the excellent layout of the store. For once, there is enough room. No matter your size, or how many bags, prams, kids or wheelchairs you may have with you, you can walk in and browse their well-spaced displays without knocking shoes off shelves or taking a crash course (pun intended) in defensive driving.
