This store took full payment for an item that required ordering. I was told it would take one week to arrive. After several calls to them I made another 6 weeks later and was told it was there and came in two days prior. When I said their customer service was poor considering, I was told "to just come and pick it up....I don't want to hear your whinging". That response typified every other dealings I had with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE!
Last week my wife and I went to Mattress Plus in Woy Woy in response to an add in the local paper. The salesperson was very helpful and we subsequently made a purchase. The purchase arrived yesterday and when I was trying to make up the bed, Irealised the mattress was extremely heavy and despite efforts, was unable to actually unable to tuck the bedclothes under the mattress.
This morning I attended the shop and told the salesperson my problem and he scoffed at me and when I suggested he visit my residence and see for hisself he became aggressive, so I attempted to match him - reaction -"If I was 20 years younger, he would would smash me" and get out of his shop - his shop? he just got through telling me he was just an employee.
No use hanging around there - he obviously got out of bed on the wrong side, so I left.
Would not ever go back there even if they were giving the furniture away.
I have lived in Umina for 24 years and had previously brought numerous items of furniture over the years from Charlie and never had any problem with purchases or service. Charlie and the boys were lovely and I tried to buy locally. About a year ago I went into what is now Moby's and was browsing around and was abused by Mark when I replied I didn't need any help that I was just looking. Recently I have heard of his abusive behaviour to other customers. I can't believe he is still working there and will not be going back to shop there until Mark has gone.
