The food at Mavericks was fantastic. We ordered two seafood share plates between 4 & there was plenty to go around for a good price. Many compliments to the chef as the salt & pepper squid was perfecf & the apple crumble to die for. The drinks were a little on the pricier side & it is more a bar atmosphere with LCD tvs & live music which makes for a slightly noisier dinner, however well worth it if u want good food & attentive, friendly staff.
location and interior of the place is fantastic. Pity about the food. Some of it was nice but considering that this place is on the marina you would expect the seafood to be fresh. We had the seafood basket and all of it seemed to be the frozen stuff.
Amazing food, fabulous location! We were absolutely fussed over from the time we arrived till the time we left. I certainly would not have ordered a seafood basket! Anyone who knows anything about food knows a seafood basket is 99% frozen seafood. I had the seafood platter for two and everything from the crab to the fish was fresh. I rate this venue highly and after reading the poor review above I had a look at there website and they have a new menu which is to die for.
