Service is not a priority. Booked a table for 9 adults & 2 babies - specifically requesting 2 high chairs. Arrived to find out they only had 1 available as the other one was booked. Had to cancel half of the party as there was nowhere to seat the second baby. No apology was given. Food was average - they have gone down in portion size & flavour with time. Won't recommend to anyone.
Maxy's has been going for years and I revisited it recently after a long absence. It's popular because of the large portions and it has a fun atmosphere and will cater to large groups. The staff is friendly and service prompt. The food is terrible stodge and we ended the evening with bad coffee and bad dessert. I ordered a creme brulee which was simp ly inedible. I complained politely to no avail.
I went to Maxy's on Saturday night with my partner after being told you get a good old fashioned large meal here at reasonable value and solid quality. Firstly a bit disappointing no table was ready for us despite booking ahead, secondly the bistro styled menu is great if you come in a group of four or more like minded people but for three people or less then its a bit disappointing that several banquet items or items for a minimum of two people are not available for a single person to have which really limits the effectiveness of the menu. I setlled for a American chicken schnitzel which was very large, great sauce and only negatives was why have two cabbage based salads on the one plate but was a good feed. My partner went a trio of dips and hommus sald combo, dips were fine but the Fallaffel Bals were so hard you coudl use them for cricketing. We reported this to a staff who said would "pass it on" but offered ny apology, poor service.
