Very poor corporate ethos. I recently bought $2277 worth of Glosswood roof lining from Mazzegas Mitre 10 Kelmscott with the verbal agreement (with the Trade co-ordinator) that if I had unused product at the end of my project Mazzegas would accept a return, providing it was still in its original packaging and undamaged. I would not have ordered it if this was not the case. At it turned out I had two packs, around $400 worth, left over, unopened, undamaged, ready to be returned. At this point the same staff suddenly said no, they would not accept a return as they had discovered it to be against store policy. They explained why it was against policy. They had just made a mistake in agreeing to accept a return. Due to their mistake I am now left with over $400 worth of product that is of no use to me. I am pleased to add that Mitre 10 management have now resolved the situation to my satisfaction.
I registered for a discount card with Mazzega's and buy almost all of my hobby and home maintenance supplies there.
It works out cheaper than Bunnings and although I rarely need a staff member's help there is always someone available.
Recently there have been a few new and younger people assisting and I don't think they've been trained as well as they could be. Often they don't know where certain items are and simply join the hunt.
Apart from that I can always get specialist advice which is much more comforting than a simple supermarket approach to hardware.
