I was instructed to book via email. I did so and spoke with John who runs it and all was locked in and confirmed - price, date, check in and check out time. A week later (and less than a fortnight until the date of my stay) he cancelled claiming repairs were needed to be done that weekend. I thought this was a bit poor as it was locked in and we had booked things around it that we couldn't get refunded. I explained that it was a bit disappointing and we'd need to spend more on last minute accommodation so perhaps he could offer a future booking at a discounted rate to compensate. He responded that he was not 'obligated' and essentially owed us nothing. Very poor service.
This is not a cottage. It's just a house in a residential house. House made like old bungalow. Behind the house there is a very small hut I would say. Cause it's more like an old redesign garage or a store type of place they let out. The house management also live in the main house. Kinda creepy that they were staying up watching tv & very observant. This hut or what they called "cottage" is so poor in conditioned you would imagine. Very very small & cold with no proper heating. Avoid & run! My gf caught to this & she already paid when we get there.
