McCrae Pavilion

A very nice rustic setting in our local area of McCrae. Great place for a cold drink and a chat with friends. However our second and last ever visit there was totally ruined by a exceedingly long wait time for meals (paid for in advance!???). We queried this problem with the manager and he just said 'I'm very busy!', 'what do you want me to do?' then just walked off. To the management, long wait times can be overlooked and return custom assured by listening and adopting mutual empathy with your patrons. However Rudeness is unforgivable!. A good place for a cold drink on a hot day, not so much for food and certainly not for the service.

This is where I will happily drink a wine and share something to eat with friends, any day of any week. Summer, the outdoor area is perfect during sunset.
Interior has nailed the beach and bay theme with class. The outdoor recycled timber sun lounges are terrific. Lots of umbrellas for summer time. Bring friends and plan to stay a while to really relax.Great social venue, even when service at times can be a little slow.

Great service, great location, great surroundings but very small servings and very expensive, happy to pay the higher amount for good food, but don't serve mains as entre sizes, first and last time there.

If delayed service, forgetfulness, rude staff and terrible customer service is your thing for a high price then this is the place to be, if not, don't bother and save yourself the money and trouble.
