The Reception staff at McDonald St Medical Centre are incredibly rude and have no manners. There is no warmth in their conversation. When you ask something, it is too much off an inconvenience. This is one of the main reasons I stopped going to this medical centre. Would I recommend this place, no way (don't go there!!).
Incredibly rude reception staff. I am 22 years old and have been attending this clinic for the majority of my life. I attend frequently due to chronic illness and there has almost never been a circumstance where the reception staff haven't been exceptionally rude and disrespectful to myself and other patients. The last thing you need when you are sick is to be treated like you are the dirt under their shoe. Do not see Dr White as she is just as bad as the reception. After not being able to see my regular Dr I came to her with serious physical and mental health concerns and she sent me away feeling stupid and upset and as though everything was made up in my head. However Dr D'souza (my regular doctor) as soon as he was available I had a diagnosis and the help I deserved. Unfortunately do to the actions of the other staff members after 22 years I'm going to have to switch to another clinic. Wonderful medical staff, horribly rude and abusive front desk staff. There's simply no other way to put it. They're rude when they speak to you on the phone, they're rude when you turn up. Almost every time I turned up I saw them verbally abusing patients. It's a real shame because the doctors themselves are so professional, but they really need to pull their staff in line. There are plenty of other good clinics in the area that aren't like this, my recommendation is to do what our family has done and switch to one of them.
Agreed great doctors but rude receptionists nothing a good swift back hander over the counter wouldn't fix !!
This person must have visited the practice on a bad hair day. Get your priorities in line.
I definitely agree. I am 22 and have been Dr D'souza's patient for my entire life (and I get sick A LOT) so I am there frequently and the staff are ALWAYS incredibly rude and disrepectful. I literally just called to try and book an appointment and Gale on the phone was incredibly snappy and blunt and treated me as though I was the most stupid woman in the world for attempting to book an appointment.
