We had our son's 3rd Birthday there last Saturday. They were totally un-organised, they couldn't find the games they had on offer and when they did they were dirty from the last party and very poor. We offered to play a game of our own and asked for a happy meal toy for the prize- the manger refused. They had a poor young boy looking after us- it was not his fault. Too hard to order coffee's, I would not recommend a party here. Given we spent $300 it was dissapointing.
We have since contacted the manager and complained. He has offered us a large credit and was very apologetic.
I like the modernity of the interior of this Maccas, it certainly needed a renovation after being here forever - although the carpark is still full of potholes and is tiny as others have noted.
Ordered meals for 4, staff were friendly and efficient although it took longer than I'd have expected to have our meals brought to our table and there was no apology. Food was hot so at least I know it hadn't been sitting forever. It was very tasty too, even the fries - though they were a bit over-salted.
The food itself here at McDonald's Cross Roads isn't bad, it's the lay out of the drive through/parking that I am giving a not good star rating for. I came here last week on a week night just to get a Coke spider and I kid you not, the traffic jam caused in the carpark as well as the line up from both entrances off Goodwood Road were insane. Maybe the kitchen couldn't keep up with orders or something that the drive-thru line up just got bigger and bigger or maybe everyone just decided to go to this McDonald's all at the one time!? Who knows??! Anyways, I ended up getting stuck in that drive-thru traffic jam and it was not pleasing at all!!
We drove 25km to get McDonalds one Friday evening. We waited in a vehicle queue for 15 minutes before finally being served, ordering two Big Mac meals - one with a shake and the other with a Coke - and 12 mini-donuts. After leaving and being halfway up Old Belair Rd, my wife checked the bag to discover we had been given a Chicken Burger and were minus one packet of fries. We returned and, after waiting for some time in the queue inside the outlet, I complained about the stuffed-up order. The manageress was apologetic and replaced the whole order. The time wasted and the inconvenience because of the tardiness of staff isn't good enough. This is the second time in three months our orders have been wrong. Poor management.
