I have had my property rented with this agency for three years. I have always found them efficient and they look after my best interest as an owner. I can only assume these comments are from disgruntled tenants who have been corrected on their lease requirements. I would recommend them to be honest
My experience of Remax Riverside basically mirrors the comments from Seekingthetruth. Maintenance issues reported continuously and nothing ever done about it. I had a lock broken on my front door and was unable to get the real estate to organise someone to come fix it. My property was unable to be secured correctly and I lived in fear that every time I went to work, someone would be breaking in and stealing my things. I organised a bond refund with them on a Monday. The money should have been returned to me in 48 hours. Four days later I called to check if the paperwork had been submitted, and was promised it was sent on Monday. Called the RTA on Friday and they advised no bond return paperwork had been received. At the end I ended up breaking my lease legally due to the property being uninhabitable and moved to another property at considerable expense just so I didn't have to deal with this business. RE/MAX Colonial Riverside apologises sincerely for any problems you may have had with our office. You are right, we have had poor staff in one particular portfolio we run and this now has been addressed. Very frustrating to see what damage can be done by a series of poor property managers! We would realise one was not working out and then replace them with another highly recommended manager to find out they were just as bad.
If in future you have any problems please always feel free to speak with either the principal or any senior manager as we have a great reputation in all other areas and this black mark is hard on a small business that prides itself on good service. Still cleaning up the mess that these people have left but on the right road now with a senior manager in the roll until we locate or train a very capable and conscientious Property Manager. Again apologies.
I wish it was possible to rate zero stars. The worst real estate I've ever had dealings with in my life. Multiple requests sent for repairs that were never reported to the management. 6 missed appointments for inspections in a row. Five different property management in the space of two years. Every time you make contact with them, your made to feel like an idiot. Never answer after hours emergency contact. My landlord was treated so badly in fact, we went to a private rental agreement instead. Well known in the local real estate scene to be one of the worst companies to deal with. Avoid at all costs. Now I've been waiting 5 days to have my bond returned to me.
