Mcintosh's Quality Cakes

The plain sponge cake with fresh cream and jam is the best - so simple but so good! It's my party staple and everyone loves it. The quiches are also great - I appreciate that they offer to heat it up for you if you like.

We are never returning to this cake store again. We've ordered plenty of cakes in the past over the years that have been fine but on Sunday, my Aunt's birthday cake was stale tasting and we all thought it must have been burnt by accident or something. When I rung on Monday to complain, I was called back by I assume the owner and promptly informed there was nothing they could do in regards to the bad cake. No discount or anything. Keep in mind we spent $43 on this cake!
When I told her that she would be losing a long time customer, her reply was simply 'That's fine' and then she hung up on me!
Terrible customer service. We will not be returning here.

I love picking up a pear danish from here, its so yummy! The cakes are quite nice as well, I've only tried it once but will definitely come back again for more!

Extremely poor service! I ordered a cake for my daughter's 18th birthday party last Saturday, came to pick it up and they showed me the cake with the birthday message but when we opened the box in the evening it was some other random cake in the box. They clearly switched my cake with someone else's. When I went to the shop today to let them know, i did not even hear a word of apology or any inclination to compensate for this - they said that no one brought the other cake back, which truly has nothing to do with our immense disappointment and the carelessness of the staff serving us on the day. We have been shopping there for many years, even before the new management took the shop over. As a result of unacceptable handling of this issue by the shop management, I will never make another purchase there and advise all customers to check what they get from the shop as service quality is clearly in need of improvement.

Very beautiful pastries and cakes. If you can get your hands on one of the ricotta cakes they are soo good. The very classic butter / tea cakes are a regular favourite for birthdays in the office as we can all pitch in a dollar or 2 and have a lovely little morning tea. Danishes are also very very yum. I also really appreciate being able to quickly pop in at 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon and take something sweet for Mum on the way for a weekend visit!!!
