Sadly since I moved to Frankston South I tried medical one for a least 4 visits. They became repulsed when my child vomitted saying " thats discusting". My daughter now needs surgery 2 months too late on her toe that they told me "they heel themselves, we never do anything for broken toes anyway". Avoid them if you can
This is not the place to come to if you have mobility problems. Theres a small set of steps up from the underground parking to street level, and they must be the minimum tread to riser ratio the law allows. They are horrible. If you cant manage them then theres a longer walk from the parking bays to out the side of the building then around the corner to the front. Once there, you then have even more steps (at much the same tread/riser ratio) or a double ramp to ...read more
I had some sort of emergency (something that looked like a spider bite on my wrist) so i called the closest medical facility that had open appointments that day....it was Medical One. The reception person did not ask me for any private health insurance or anything that would ve made me think it's a PRIVATE practice. I get to see a doctor that spent more time asking me about my non existent private health card, my age and residential adress. With a healthy dose of contempt he informed me that it's not an insect bite (though "i'm not a specialist in every insect bite in Australia" -quote), that it's "probably" a herpes simplex but it's nothing to worry about (since when?!don t they have treatments for it in 2011?). I left the place without any sure diagnose or any prescription. 2 days later i receive a bill for 60 dollars. Which I have no choice but to pay 'cause they have my personal details. I just wanted to share my opinion on this so-called clinic....i hope nobody else gets scammed
Sadly I agree the the review before mine. After being well established with a 'family doctor' he joined MedOne and I became no more than "a unit". A sad reflection on local GPs. Supermarket medicine is how I would describe it.
It won't be long before the G.P (Name withheld) will sell or be bought out by listed company. Shareholders come first! The problem with that theory is -NO PATIENTS = NO SHAREHOLDER RETURNS. The A.S.X is littered with companies that have / are or about to be worthless. Capital health CAJ.AX is one that springs to mind. Fortunately I didn't invest, although I could have used the capital loss to offset some gains at so time down the track.
