Melba Brasserie (langham Hotel
At the Southbank five star 'Langham Hotel' you'd expect no less than a five star restaurant to accompany. 'Melba' restaurant offers a breakfast buffet second to none, as well as a comprehensive selection of mains for every meal of the day.
You don't have to be staying in five star accommodation to experience it's food. Visit the sushi station to watch (and if you wish, interact) with the master sushi chefs preparing your meal.

If you like buffets then the Melba at the Langham is the one to try. As a bonus there are great views across the Yarra, live cooking stations, very fresh and wide seafood stations and also a great dessert selections; with a variety of international and local choices and a friendly, attentive staff. It's always busy and for good reason. It can cost up to $100 per person depending on the night you go, might be better to order a la carte if you are not a fan of buffets, which I hear is also very tasty.
Without a doubt, the nicest restaurant I have had the pleasure to visit (so far). The staff are attentive without being pushy, the views are stunning especially at night, the entire establishment was clean, spotlessly clean, including the bathrooms.
The food was impeccable. Fresh range of seafood and roasts with stir-fry's and naan made fresh to your order in front of you and the dessert range is huge. Fresh, tasty, well-cooked food in all areas and a good selection for vegetarians also.
If you're looking for a nice night out for something special, or with someone special, then this is one place you should consider. It doesn't disappoint.
