Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre

We have been to MSAC several times to access the pool facilities and watch sport competitions. The entries for family casual swimming and SplashOut are affordable.

World class facilities located next to the picturesque Albert Park lake. I've been here numerous times over the years mostly to use their basketball and badminton facilities. Facilities that are almost always packed on the weekend and weeknights. Chronically understaffed. Unfortunately, staff all seem to congregate near the pool desk leaving the entrance to basketball and badminton areas unmanned whenever I'm there.

This centre has expanded over the last few years that Ive been going; initially I used to come here on a fortnightly basis for a work event playing squash. Its an international sporting venue located in Albert Park. There is a large aquatic area, sports arena, health & fitness area and now recently a built in wave pool called Flow rider. A great centre which is clean, large and efficient offering access to a number of facilities. I recently was here over the weekend accessing their Flow rider, basically using a board similar in shape to a skateboard, the rider deflects the water to turn, carve, stall and climb across the padded waveforms. Scary initially for those who are trying it out for the first time, however after youve done your first lot of wave jump youll find that you would just want to get right back in again and do it all over again!

World class sporting facility where junior basketballers can play alongside the likes of Andrew Gaze and Learn to Swim classes take place while Michael Klim trains for his comeback in the adjoining lanes. Clean change rooms, a cafe on site that serves decent coffee and helpful staff make it a very pleasant place to recreate.

Fantastic swimming pool and fitness facilities. We are really looking forward to the 50 metre outdoor pool reopening soon.
