Meletos
About an hour north-east of Melbourne lies a region known as The Yarra Valley.
Here we make some of the world's most celebrated wine in one of the most picturesque locations in Australia. Our farmers grow superb produce, and the blue-tinged mountains that surround our vineyards and orchards contain mountain ash forests that pre-date European settlement.
In the heart of the Yarra Valley between the hamlets of Yarra Glen and Healesville lies a quiet country road called St Huberts, and if you take a turn at number 12 you'll discover one of the region's most exciting new destinations.
From the family who brought you Stones of the Yarra Valley and The Stables at Stones comes Meletos,

Beautiful location, pleasant restaurant, spacious, full of natural light, rustic-modern, clean, service was efficient and good. We were here on a Sunday afternoon past lunchtime but there were continuous stream of people coming and going. They did not take bookings so come and place your name in a waiting list when there are no space available. While waiting, snacks and drinks from the brewery can be ordered. Pizzas were fine- not too rich, the beetroot salad was delicious- very refreshing.
Had a lovely lunch here today. When we got there they told us there was a half an hour wait and they were spot on. We had a drink at the bar where you can do cider and wine tasting while we waited. We all opted for different pizzas and they were all very tasty. Service was fast and friendly. The tiramisu was a definite highlight!!
Meletos is a great cafe in the Yarra Valley, Coldstream region with lovely rustic atmosphere. Great for lunches and brunches and only an hours drive from Melbourne. The pizzas a tad pricey but super delicious and so was the chacaturie platter. You can try the Napolone cider and beer from the brewery and the orchard is right outside. Great outdoor views and also children friendly place. It is usually very busy and lively so do book ahead for weekends and public holidays.
