Tonight we bought 5 Whiting n Chips, Plus 4 pototo cakes, WE got 8 pototo cakes, and abt 8 pieces of fish that was deep fried SO BADLY there was nothing in the batter, dry with no taste. The Pototo Cakes were the greasiest I have ever had, oil dripped from them, they made you feel ill.
I would not Suggest this place to anyone, Will NEVER go there again.

Have been going to Mels Seafood for their fish cocktails & chips since they were at 19th Ave, so we were delighted to find out they have moved to the Gold Coast Highway, which is much closer to our new place, & now Friday night fish & chips has become a regular for us. Em
Wish there is an option for no star... getting wrost day by day... use to be a good place but since getting into new hands going down...
price is going up in every few months but services is falling down.. used to have a good and well trained staff but today went there(doesn’t know properly what i was ordering start laughing very disappointed).... would love to go anywhere else for better services
Order was incorrect. Fish was so over cooked, dry and flavorless. Could not eat our order. Phoned as order was a take away and didn’t know until we were home. Did receive an apology over the phone. Very disappointing. Will never buy from here again. Good money wasted.
