In 1948 James (Jim) Burns founded Newport Removals in North Road, Newport and helped to establish the local area by buying, selling, auctioning and removing furniture with the use of a horse and cart within the western suburbs of Melbourne - then progressing to an a model Ford truck, later followed by several later model furniture vans and picnic trucks until his retirement to Bacchus Marsh where his son Ron Burns then continued the family tradition of household removals and storage servicing the local area for some thirty five years to present.
With the expected explosion of population of Melton Ron has now opened a new branch of the firm known as Ron Burns t/a Melton Moving & Storage Company.
We use and recommend carts removal and storage insurance.
Storage systems used are open stack containers and self storage, both long and short term.
We sell boxes and tape - packing materials
