Memory Lane Period Clothing & Theatrical Costumes

My experience is similar to that of the other reviewers. I went in and asked if I could browse for a colonial Australian costume and had my head bitten off, being told that wasn't how they do things. You are kept confined until it is your turn to be escorted in, feeling like a criminal under armed guard. When I paused to look at different costumes I was told off like a child. I wasn't allowed to touch or choose, but had items chosen for me. The costumes weren't clean and some were very poor quality. The only positive was that there is a massive range.

You're pretty sure to find what you want here as the range is huge. A lot of the costumes are old, shabby or badly made (you wouldn't want to wear them for anything other than a laugh). I'm glad i read other reviews of the strange service before i went because it was definitely bizarre. Several of the staff were amazing and helpful and couldn't have been better. Others really need to take a chill pill and treat the customer as more than just an inconvenience. Not sure that I'd go back based on my experience.

OK so this is probably the largest costume hire shop in Perth, and don't they know it. They have a lot of stuff and I am sure you will find exactly what you are after, just don't expect kind friendly service.
