Bad experience, not recommended! Went there for the first time with the entertainer buy one main course and get one main course for free voucher. Ordered 2 main courses and 1 entree. Ended up getting discount for the entree only (the dish is clearly marked as entree on the receipt). When questioned, they reply that is how it is suppose to work under the entertainment book rules. Do they understand what is the difference between buy one main course and get one main course for free and buy one dish and get one for free? If you are not willing to honor your promotions just don't put it in. What a way to promote your cafe!!!! Does not even deserve one star.
We live in the neighbourhood, so been regular customers of Mends Street Cafe for 6 years since we moved into this suburb. Had breakfast a lot there. The food was normally good.
But last Thursday (5th April 2012) we took some friends who came from Bangkok to have late lunch around 4pm. We gave high recommendation about this cafe to them, so they wanted to try. The cafe was quite at that time. When we finished our meal, I had to take my son to the rest room. So our friends helped me packing up our stuff. They forgot to pack my son's water bottle.
