In the heart of the CBD is this little ramen gem. It's busy and bustling but fast, cheap and super tasty. There are all the ramen combinations you could possibly imagine and the ordering is seamless. For about $15 you can get a big bowl of ramen with a choice of three different flavours of broth and pretty much any ramen and filling ocmbination you can imagine. I had the chicken teriyaki and it didn't disappoint. Really big portions that are filling but not too much. Great spot in the middle of he city for a quick nibble.
Great little place for delicious affordable ramen. I went on a cool rainy day and there was already a queue outside when I arrived at noon. I decided to brave the cold and rain and waited in line. The place was busy and bustling like any ramen store in Japan.
I sat down after maybe 10 mins wait in line and got my order within 5 mins. It cost me less than $12 for my bowl of ramen! I love the pork broth! It was just an amazing value lunch.
Will definitely come back for more!
Not to be confused with Menya Mappen (one of my all time fave cheap eats in town), Menya proper does a mean Ramen and is well worth a visit for slightly less hurried, more sit-down experience. Not for long though - they're small and popular so often very busy with lines at peak hour. Probably worth a small wait to try some of its tasty ramen though. Affordable prices for the city area.
