Lovely accomodation, clean rooms and a comfy stay. Walking distance to the Hunter Valley Gardens and McGuigans and Tempus Two Wineries. So a great location in the heart of the Hunter. 50% discount entry to the gardens available when staying.
Needed the air con, king bed comfortable and clean bathroom.
Restaurant disappointing in relation to the Duck (not medium rare - but raw!) and slow service by wait staff. Two menu options - one for Accor memebers (two-for one) and the usual a-la-carte. Would probably choose to dine elsewhere if staying again, otherwise an enjoyable stay.
Lovely venue, surrounded by gorgeous gardens. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Restaurant disappointing in that, for a steakhouse, the cook staff did not know how to cook a rare piece of meat, we had to send it back, as did the table next to us. The 'Asian greens' were beans, snap peas and spinach all soggy in oyster sauce. Other than that though, breakfast was nice, wait staff lovely.

The restaurant 'The Steakhouse' had pitiful service. We waited 5 minutes for someone to make eye contact only to be told there was a half hour wait. This ...read more
We have visited here and stayed here numerous times in the last 4 years and it is our favorite place. Accomadation just what we needed with a balcony looking over vineyards.Tv could have been a bit more modern but basically your there for fun not tv. The food to die for just cannot fault any part of there menu except for the price but you get what you pay for and i have no hesitation in going back and spending my cash. The atmosphere great with some of the bar staff from Ireland who provide to the atmosphere.. We didnt use the pool as it was winter each time we visited. Great pub in the middle of the hunter although the smoking area is a lot to be desired in rain or COLD HUNTER WINTER WEATHER, you will be an outcast. Harrigans always on my list of a TOP PUBS.
