I'd recently booked to stay at the Pullman for three nights for a conference but for the first night was put up at the Mercure instead as they were full for a different conference.
The rooms are very basic and an older style.
Was disappointed to be moved as I was looking forward to settling into the Pullman for the three nights and unpacking and staying put as I'd already been living out of a suitcase for the previous three days.
As a consolation, the Pullman upgraded us to a Lake View room for the remaining two nights of the conference.
Mercure has the same bar and restaurant facilities and check-in area as the Pullman and is served by a different set of lifts.
If you have a choice though, I'd recommend the Pullman over the Mercure.
