Can I first comment, I don't know how these guys are still in business. I have never worked with a company that is so rude and generally unhelpful to its customers.
I deal with Mercury professionally, this is a decision made at management level (for some inexplicable reason). They are also more expensive than any of the competitors we have received quotes from (I think it is a family connection that maintains the relationship).
I find them to consistently miss deadlines, send incorrect quantities and be generally unreliable. If you receive a proof and request changes expect to wait 48 hours and then just have them send you the SAME PROOF (aka with none of the requested changes?). Also don't expect them to be helpful or proactive in any way. This attitude seems to be held by management and so is adopted by other staff.
It is hard for me to properly explain as I cannot divulge specific examples. But please take my advice and steer clear.
