I went to the club for lunch today and was deeply disappointed. The food was average at best. I ordered the Mediterranean Lamb Salad, the star of which should have been the lamb back-strap, but, alas, it was overcooked and chewy. It just ruined the whole salad. My partner had the chicken schnitzel and he said it was good. Seriously though, it would be difficult to mess up a schnitzel. Our friend had the chicken burger on special and she loved it. It did look delicious. The drinks were weak, even the lemon-lime and bitters I ordered.
The restaurant staff were all very friendly, but, the other staff at the bar were rude and surly. This is also a cash only business.
The facilities are standard for the area. Nice, clean and airy.
All in all Id say the food is overpriced for the quality. However if you stick to the pub food on the menu you will probably be happy. I, however, wont be going back.
This club is small therefore friendly. I have been frequenting the club for about 3 years now and have seen caterers come and go in the restaurant but recently the club have been running the restaurant themselves so business has picked up. The food is good quality and very cheap hence its popularity. They have bingo at the club every day of the week (sometimes twice a day) and the oldies love it. I personally play at least twice a week and everyone knows everyone else and as I said before because it is a small club it is a warm, friendly place to go. They have quiz nights and raffles and barefoot bowls. It's only $6.50 to become a member and there are many benefits to be had by joining the club.
