Merrylands Seafood

Staff are rude and unwilling to answer specific questions about the quality of their seafood. I would expect knowing every detail about the treatment of their seafood would be the bare minimum you should expect but I am often met with a rude attitude and lack of knowledge about their seafood and they don't seem to care. I often overhear customers asking if their fish is fresh and staff become rude and get offended even. Barramundi is always in air-tight bags and frozen and taste not as fresh as other places I have been to. Australian prawns are sometimes very 'sandy' and have a strange taste.
If you want better customer service and a greater selection of seafood then head to 'Sydney fresh seafood (formerly Penrith Seafood) in Wetherill Park. They sometimes stock 'wild caught' salmon from alaska and not just the farmed salmon that atlantic salmon is.

Absolutely love Merryland seafood the food is very fresh and the staff are fantasic and i do agree with the below review definitely best seafood in sydney
