The corporate multiplexs are a major turn off for me. They are a rip off. I prefer cosy and friendly and value for money that it is the Metro in Boronia. The staff are friendly and extra helpful, the prices are excellent especially for members and a membership costs about what a corporate multiplex would charge for a single ticket. As the cinema is so economical I am able to attend whenever I want and that's a habit I couldn't afford with the corporates. Parking is abundant. The candy bar is most reasonable.
Four stars..... Margaret ?
While the prices are certainly cheaper than the cinema giants Village and Hoyts, you get what you pay for. The screen size is dismal, and the movie repertoire is often quite small. While Metro does offer a seniors' discount and free cuppa, it also offers a steep flight of stairs just to get in, so seniors are forced to earn their free cuppa. On the plus side, the location in the heart of Boronia is convenient, and their website is easy to browse and helpful.
The two smaller Cinema screens have been updated in 2014 and are now great aspect ratio to seating.
Bigger isn't always better.
