I hired Metro mover company (1 medium truck and 2 men) to move my one bedroom apartment. Here are all the problems I encountered:
1. Bed was put together incorrectly and I had to take it apart to put it back together correctly
2. My one bedroom has minimal possessions across the street and it could have been done in 2 hours by 1 person but that with 2 it took 4.5 hours. Before they started to move things, they said it would be “simple”. I saw one of them not doing anything at one point and I had to supervise them to prevent them from wasting more time. WORST REMOVAL COMPANY - STAY AWAY.I can honestly say our experience with MetroMovers has been absolutely horrendous.Moved from an apartment to a house a short distance away-move took twice as long as it should-movers dragged their feet.45 minute journey to new house took the drivers 2 hours!!To make things worse truck was packed in such a way that 3 boxes & bedside table came crashing down,destroying 5 items.Movers apologised & said they wished they could give us cash for the items! However to add insult to injury,called the company,waited a WEEK for someone to call back which they failed to do, i phoned & spoke to manager who accused us of jumping on the truck and causing it to rock and smash items! Blatant lies! The manager was obnoxious,rude,unhelpful,spoke over me throughout the call and made no attempt to resolve the issue in a professional manner! MetroMovers recently came to assist us with our move from our warehouse style home to our new home.

After reading up on some tricks and issues with other much cheaper companies, I decided to go with MetroMovers, which were a bit more expensive than other cheaper ones advertised, but there were no hidden fees (like fuel surcharges or packing up large items), no funny games like taking their time, no bad service, and no stress at all.



Chris and James were absolutely great - they showed up on time and slogged away for 4 hours (in the rain on top of it!), not skipping a beat and not slowing down, despite the one property having two flights of stairs. They were very friendly, quite funny and extremely helpful, I couldn't have asked for anything more.



From the booking on the phone to the actual move, I'm very happy to recommend MetroMovers to anyone out there looking to make this part of their move as stress-free as possible.

Chris and the guys were absolutely fantastic. They handled all of our property with care and efficiency. They were extremely polite and helpful and we were very grateful to have such experienced and considerate guys to assist with our move. My husband and I were stressed as we were doing a simultaneous settlement and were very happy that at least we didn't have to worry about the move. All the furniture removalists showed a lot of care as they moved the furniture out of our apartment and again as they moved the furniture into our new house which had been newly painted with a new wood floor. I highly recommend this organization.
